March 18th 2025 – A New (to me) Campervan

Well, I’ve been and gone and done it. I’ve regretted getting rid of our campervan since starting the SWCP, as it would have been so useful as a base on my walks. It was on the large size though, being based on a Citroen relay, and it wouldn’t have got into most car parks due to its height, so, I’ve pushed the boat out and bought myself another one. Much smaller this time and easier to fit in any car park.
My thinking is that when I’m doing more remote stretches of the path I will have toilet facilities with me and somewhere to make a coffee and relax after my walks. Also, I’ll have somewhere to sleep as I get further into Devon and Cornwall and I will be able to stay for weekends or a few days at a time on campsites instead of day trips, saving money on fuel and accommodation. Being the size it is, and having had to trade my car in to help fund it, I can also use it as a car to get around in. Happy days.
